Megan Zynda APRN-CNM
Megan grew up in Parker, Arizona, a small town on the Colorado River. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Northland College in Wisconsin. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brookline College in Arizona and a master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in midwifery from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Megan began her nursing career outside of obstetrics. After the loss of her twins, the compassion and support she received from her nurses and providers inspired her to become an obstetrical nurse. In that role, she worked alongside midwives and OB/GYNs and found that she wanted to care for women and families. She then completed her training as a midwife.
Megan focuses her care on clear communication and patient education. She explains each option in plain terms, encourages questions, and makes care decisions together with her patients. She wants every patient to feel comfortable sharing their preferences and speaking up for themselves.
Outside the office, Megan stays active. She was a college athlete and still plays indoor and sand volleyball. She also competes in obstacle course races. She spends time with family and friends and gets back to the Colorado River whenever she can.
